After a competitive tender process Agripower secured a contract with Portsmouth City Council's Housing & Property Services to upgrade disused tennis courts in Drayton Park, north Portsmouth. The aim was to create two new macadam Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs) and two macadam tennis courts, with associated paths, fencing & drainage.
The scope of work included:
- Removal of existing weldmesh fence and metal railings, and vegetation
- Preparation of existing courts surface for drainage and overlaying new surface
- Laying of geotextile membrane
- Installation of new concrete edgings, Type 1 sub-base & macadam surface
- Supply and installation of client-specified integrated ballcourt fence/goal railing
- system for MUGAs & weldmesh tennis court boundary fence
- Colour coated surface and court marking; tennis posts and net set
- Associated fence and gates for football training area
